The brief

Dear Green had already engrained social and environmental sustainability within their everyday business practices but were looking for support in communicating their policies and progress to their customers. Through Glasgow City Council’s Business Growth Programme, Dear Green applied for our ‘Sustainability Communications Compliance & Credibility’ workshop.

What we did

Ahead of the workshop, our team conducted a review of Dear Green’s existing sustainability credentials, initiatives and messaging across their key communications channels, as well as industry research to inform Dear Green’s highly tailored session plan.

Our subsequent workshop was delivered in person to key members of the Dear Green team, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of how to establish and build compelling and compliant sustainability communications with confidence and impact. In our session, we also provided coaching around the Green Claims Code, empowering the team to comfortably develop their own sustainability communications in full alignment with existing regulations and we concluded by sharing a social and environmental sustainability communication plan designed specifically for Dear Green.

Following the workshop, Dear Green were able to organise and build upon their credentials, in a structured, compliant and clear way across their consumer facing channels, helping to highlight their incredible initiatives whilst reinforcing their business as a force for good.

“Material was able to support us in thinking about communications in another light and approaching our strategy differently. In turn, highlighting SES business activities we are extremely proud of and should be communicating better.”
