Inspiring environmental best practice amongst festival and gig goers for Scotland’s biggest event promoter
The background
DF Concerts (DFC) is Scotland’s leading live entertainment company, bringing world-class festivals, concerts and events to music fans across the nation. Our work with DF Concerts stretches back to our beginnings in 2003, and we’ve since helped to deliver unforgettable live music experiences including T in the Park, TRNSMT and Summer Sessions through brand partnerships and campaign communications. Working with Julie’s Bicycle, we also helped to take T in the Park carbon neutral in 2007 – a world first for any major music festival at that time.
The brief
We were commissioned to support DFC’s Sustainability Team to organise and develop their Social and Environmental Sustainability (SES) Strategy, and to help engage audiences to make positive environmental decisions before and during their summer programme of outdoor live events.
What we did
Our team created a strategic framework for DFC that not only anchored with the ESG Strategy of their parent group, Live Nation, but also reflected DFC’s operations in Scotland.
We also supported the creation of DFC’s initial audience and artist engagement campaign by creating pre and at-event collateral encouraging everyone to consider making simple but collectively impactful decisions around travel, fashion, food and more.
Our work brought clarity to DFC’s strategic planning and management vision and helped them to establish their audience-facing voice.
