IMPACT Scotland is the Scottish charity responsible for creating, building and running the Dunard Centre, Edinburgh’s first new concert hall in over 100 years and the first Nagata Acoustics venue in the UK.
The brief
In this all-important initial planning phase, Material was engaged to produce an interim brand for the venue, before designing and building a website that would introduce the venue’s bold plans and ambitions.

What we did
We drew inspiration from the architectural renders when producing the interim brand.
This provided the visual tools to start building a website that would showcase the vision for the venue.
We have also produced construction site hoarding, printed collateral and social templates, as well as interactive VR and AR experiences to further engage audience groups and bring the prospect of the venue to life.
“Our brief to Material was to make our site look brilliant and work effortlessly, but as a small charity we weren’t sure how far our resources could stretch. Material were incredibly patient, proactive and problem-solving, coming up with a framework that could flex as we continued to grow. Their creative flourishes brought our concert hall project to life, they truly were an ideal agency blend of pragmatic and ingenious.”
