The background

The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is Scotland’s largest purpose-built conference, exhibition, and live entertainment campus and is recognised as a leading global event destination. As a founder and signatory to the Net Zero Carbon Events (NZCE) initiative and COP26 host, SEC’s firm commitment to SES materialised with the development of its first Net Zero Roadmap.

The brief

SEC engaged us to help write and publish the Net Zero Roadmap, communicating credentials and goals in a way that was accessible, compliant and engaging for a range of audiences.

What we did

Working closely with multiple stakeholders, we composed a comprehensive Net Zero document which articulated achievements and progress to date, plus short- and long-term goals for the campus in a simple, straightforward style.

We also created impactful assets to support the socialisation and communication of the roadmap, including a short film, a board-ready presentation, social copy and a comprehensive reactive media Q&A.

With a suite of engaging material to share with internal and external stakeholders, SEC was able to successfully launch their Net Zero Roadmap and share the story of how the campus will reach net zero with confidence.

“The Scottish Event Campus commissioned Material to deliver three creative assets to tell the story of how we will get to net zero by 2030. The quality of both the visual and written content was exceptional. We were completely aligned and we are delighted with the results. I would recommend Material in a heartbeat.”
