At Material, we’re extremely proud of our work with The Macallan – the world’s most valuable whisky – as the lead agency to support the planning, implementation and communication of its global environmental sustainability and social impact strategy.

Since 2019, we have helped the business to evolve an established Social and Environmental Sustainability Strategy, guiding the internal integration and socialisation of this strategy among key operational and brand teams across The Macallan’s global business.

Through our ongoing role, we consult with senior leaders at The Macallan to track progress and evolve the strategy whilst also supporting the delivery of specific initiatives evolving from its objectives, such as The Macallan Artisan Collective and The Macallan Artisan Apprenticeship Fund.

Our team also supports The Macallan with the communication and engagement of their strategy for both internal and external stakeholders. From developing the brand’s sustainability community strategy to delivering global team webinars, presentations, toolkits, editorial content and the creation of dedicated learning modules hosted on The Macallan Academy – an internal digital educational platform. Working closely with The Macallan’s global brand teams, we also help to integrate compliant SES messaging into external communications and campaigns, whilst providing continuous communications compliance support.
